
Counselling Children and Adolescents
At THRIVE. Wellbeing & Counselling Services, we offer counselling support to children and teens aged 5-18. We provide a safe and supportive environment where young people can explore their feelings and learn coping strategies to help them navigate life's ups and downs.
Life can be tough and everyone needs a little help sometimes. We are here to offer support and guidance and help overcome challenges and achieve success.
Therapy Style
Emily uses a range of modalities in her practice and tailors her approach by understanding the unique experiences of each client. These modalities include (but are not limited to) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psycho-Education, Systems Theory, Mindfulness and Relaxation Strategies.

Emily uses a trauma informed, strengths based approach to work with the young person to develop supportive, evidence based plans that can be taken away and implemented with the help of the young persons loved ones, school and other support agencies.
Special Interests
Emily has a special interest in supporting young girls aged 8-12 years old who are experiencing anxiety. They may be disengaging from school and other parts of their lives, due to a range of social, emotional and psychological reasons.​

Emily is passionate about working together to develop healthy coping strategies and building resilience in young women.

We use a strength based, trauma informed approach to counselling and believe each young person is unique. Our counselling is tailored to the individual needs of the young person. We are dedicated to helping them achieve their goals.
