I'm Emily, an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and the founder of Thrive Wellbeing & Counselling Services.

For over ten years, I have worked alongside children, teenagers and families through some of life's most challenging moments. Thrive was created from the belief that everyone deserves a safe, supportive space to slow down, feel heard and make sense of what they are experiencing.

Today, my work focuses on supporting girls, women and mothers. Whether you are navigating anxiety, overwhelm, life transitions, motherhood, relationship challenges or simply feeling stuck, I offer a calm and compassionate space where you don't have to carry it all on your own.

My approach is warm, practical and down to earth. I draw on evidence based therapies including EMDR, ACT, CBT and mindfulness, but I also believe that meaningful change starts with feeling genuinely understood.

My Story

My journey into social work began with a passion for supporting children, young people and families. Over the past decade, I have worked across schools, community services and mental health settings, helping people navigate anxiety, trauma, life transitions and emotional wellbeing concerns.

As both an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and a mother, I understand how easy it can be to put everyone else's needs first. I have seen firsthand the pressures that many girls, women and mothers carry, often quietly and without enough support.

Thrive was created from a desire to offer something different. A space that feels warm, personal and genuine. A place where people can show up exactly as they are, without needing to have the right words or all the answers.

Today, I feel privileged to support clients through counselling, wellbeing programs and workshops. My hope is that everyone who connects with Thrive leaves feeling more confident, more connected to themselves and better equipped to navigate whatever comes next.

Outside of work, I am a mum to three girls who inspire so much of what I do. Family life keeps me busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. When I'm not at work, you will usually find me cooking for my family, curled up with a good book, attending a yin yoga or reformer class, enjoying a coffee, taking my kids for a bike ride or dreaming up new ideas for Thrive.

Thank you for being here.
